About Us

Jo
Jo Cudlip, Fan Frame's owner, has been framing for 45 years. She's worked with many of the best framers in the area and her experience shows. Her education at Virginia Commonwealth University as a jeweler and her years working in that field also sharpened her sense of craftsmanship and perfection in the smallest details.

Mark
Mark Miller started his framing career right after attending college, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History. He has been framing for 45 years and is a Certified Picture Framer. Mark owned his own frame shop for three years called Miller and Harding, worked at Suitable for Framing for 32 years and joined Fan Frame in 2010. He is highly experienced in every aspect of picture framing. He currently contracts with us for special projects. 

Sam
Samantha Taylor has been framing with us since the summer of 2018. Sam is the framer who specializes in designing, mat cutting, and installing work. She holds a BFA in Painting and Printmaking from VCU and maintains a painting practice at home. 

The Fan
We are located in Richmond's historic Fan District, which houses many small businesses and restaurants as well as homes. The scenery and Victorian era architecture is some of the best in Richmond, and the city's iconic Monument Avenue is only four blocks away.
